I read How much Money is enough Money?. In the comments, Bharath shared this translation of lines from a Tamil song:

Man desires and lusts after land (wealth/material world), but the land desires the man (to return to dust). In the end, it is always the land that wins, yet the human mind stubbornly refuses to realize this truth

I think I've achieved everything I ever thought of ten years ago. But now I'm in a phase where I don't know what I want. I don't have any major goals. I'm just living and trying to figure that out.

Do I need another major goal to chase? Especially a monetary one? Do I need to keep earning much more money than I make now?

What would more money let me do that I can't do today? If I reached the next number, what would actually change? Would I feel like I had enough, or would I just find another number to chase?

And if I don't have a big goal right now, does that need fixing?

Land and energy aren't even the biggest costs, but they're what we end up waiting for. We can make more chips, but where do we put them? How do we get enough power there?

That's why space makes sense to me. So much room, so much solar energy. Obviously getting things up there and keeping them running isn't simple. But I can imagine us going that way as we keep wanting more compute.

Also read Why Is ₹1 Not Equal to $1?. One rupee and one dollar are different units. Comparing the numbers alone doesn't tell us how well either country is doing.

And a stronger rupee isn't automatically better for everyone. It makes travelling abroad and buying imported things cheaper, but can make what we sell to the world more expensive.

So stronger for whom? Someone earning in dollars and spending in rupees wants something different from someone earning in rupees and paying expenses in dollars. Same exchange rate, very different situations.

I also ran 16 km.
